Curse of the Blue Tattoo: Being an Account of the Misadventures of Jacky Faber, Midshipman and Fine Lady by L. A. Meyer, read by Katherine Kellgren

Up Next:

I think I’m almost finished with Curse of the Blue Tattoo, so I’ll be choosing a new audiobook soon. I did listen to some of When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris on my road trip last weekend, but I accidentally packed my iPod on the trip back, so we didn’t get to finish it. I’ll resume it next. I just requested The Invention of Hugo Cabret at the library, so I’ll read it if I finish East of Eden.

What are you reading this week?

  2. So many great books here I don't know how to start commenting! I have read a Gail Carringer book, and I really liked it, even though I started out of order. I loved Peach Keeper, and I am a huge fan of Jim Butcher. 🙂

  3. I love Rapunzel's Revenge and it's sequel. I keep hoping she'll write a third one. I know it's not immediately likely given how busy she's been but I continue to hope.

Three-quarters of what I read this week was in the form of children's picture books. Please come see what they were.

  4. I have both The Peach Keeps and Anna Karenina on my tbr list. One of these days I will get to both of them!

Stop by and see what I have going on this week at Always With a Book

  5. East of Eden is one of my favorites!!! The Peach Keeper is on my wish list and am glad to see you finished Anna Karenina. It is a huge read!!! I read it in school and I remember it took almost a whole trimester but kept us going because we have the every other day discussions. I commend you for taking this on without it being required reading as I feel it is one of the books everyone should read in their lifetime. When I saw you were reading it I truly thought about a reread but my reading schedule is just too full, but maybe someday.

    Have a great week!!!

  6. Oh, I can't wait to hear what you thought of Sarah Addison Allen's newest book! I really enjoyed it. Also, I'd love to read The Invention of Hugo Cabaret soon, before the movie!

Hope you have a fabulous reading week and if you get a second stop by to see what I've been reading at There's A Book! 🙂

  7. I still haven't seen The Help movie but maybe next weekend; I adored the audiobook. The Peach Keeper is on my Mount TBR.

Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

  8. I liked The Peach Keeper and Blameless (of course I'm a huge Gail Carriger fan so that is no surprise!). I've heard that The Curse of the Blue Tattoo is excellent on audio. I've been meaning to try that series.

I enjoyed your movie review of The Help. I loved the book and movie and I want to listen to the audio version since Octavia Spencer does the voice for Minnie too.

Have a great week and I hope you enjoy your reading 🙂
