Nonfiction Reading Challenge 2014

I have an affiliate relationship with Bookshop.org and Malaprop's Bookstore in beautiful Asheville, NC. I will earn a small commission at no additional cost to you if you purchase merchandise through links on my site. Read more on my affiliate page.

Nonfiction Challenge hosted at The Introverted Reader

Please link your reviews on the review link-up page.

The Challenge:  Read any non-fiction book(s), adult or young adult. That’s it. You can choose anything. Memoirs? Yes. History? Yes. Travel? Yes. You get the idea? Absolutely anything that is classified as non-fiction counts for this challenge.

I always like levels in my challenges, so here are mine:

Dilettante–Read 1-5 non-fiction books

Explorer–Read 6-10

Seeker–Read 11-15

Master–Read 16-20

This challenge will last from January 1 to December 31, 2014. You can sign up anytime throughout the year.

I am not limiting the challenge to bloggers. You can also link to a review you wrote on another site, such as GoodReads or LibraryThing.

Crossovers with other challenges are acceptable, and feel free to read your books in any format you like.

I’m signing up at the Seeker level.

Different this year: I’ll have a separate post with a linky for reviews. I’ll keep a permanent link to both posts in my sidebar. That will be easier to keep track of which links are reviews and which are sign up posts.

Use Mr. Linky to sign up below. I hope you’ll join me!

I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop’s, my local independent bookstore located in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site. My opinions are completely my own.

  1. Ha ha! Somehow signed up for this challenge on the 2013 sign up post instead of the 2014 one. 😉 I really enjoyed this challenge last year and look forward to surpassing my goal this year 🙂

  2. Glad for having discovered this. Signed up as I do read nonfiction throughout the year. Looking forward to seeing what others read.

    Best, and keep on blogging.

  3. I love reading non-fiction, but don't read enough of it so I am really excited about this challenge. Laura (OokSaidTheLibrarian)

  4. This sounds like the perfect challenge for me. I wouldn't be living up to my blog name if I didn't try to go for "Master"!

Very excited to use this linky to find other nonfiction book reviews!

  5. I just wrote about my Reading List for 2014 and most if not all my books ar non-fiction. Going for master!

  6. I really thought I was done with joining challenges, but at this point, what's one more? I love non-fiction — particularly memoirs, books-about-books, and food-related books, so I'm in for this one too 🙂

  7. Just discovered you in the past few days, but must join this challenge! Because my preferred genre is non-fiction anyway, I'm attempting the Master level.

  8. I've set myself a challenge to read autobiographies and biographies this year so this fits right in! My first time as part of a challenge and the first time blogging. I have already read my first one but was in 2013 so doesn't count for this challenge, but you're welcome to read my review anyway!
