Can you tell that I was desperate for some lighter reading after finishing The Grapes of Wrath?

Currently Reading:

The House at Tyneford by Natasha Solomons (also published as The Novel in the Viola, which is the edition I’m reading)

The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker, read by Carrington MacDuffie

Up Next:

I’m waiting on Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain to come in for me at the library. I’ve also got The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black by E. B. Hudspeth stacked up on my nightstand, waiting their turn. I don’t know if I’ll feel like reading them this week, but they are options. I’m sure I’ll be choosing a new audio book in the next couple of days as well.

What are you reading this week?

  1. I listened to The Little Giant of Aberdeen County and enjoyed it. She has another book out, The Gilly Salt Sisters which is also good (and good on audio, too!).

I was just saying to my husband that I need to reread The Great Gatsby (we read it in high school) because I want to go see the movie. We also read The Grapes of Wrath, but I have no intention of ever rereading that one…once was enough for me!

    Have a great week!

  2. I recently finished the 3rd book in the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series, so far I just love those books. I hope you had enjoyed the first one.

  3. I started Tears of the Girafe but never finished. I really need to get back to that series. I also want to re-read The Great Gatsby! Enjoy your week in books!

  4. I'm waiting awhile for my reread of Grapes of Wrath, although it is sitting on my stacks and judging me! lol

  5. Some good reading there, I got Quiet from the library a few weeks ago but haven't had a chance to start it yet. Happy reading this week!

    What I've Been Reading!

  6. Something light it sometimes the best option!Especially after a book with a 'heavy' subject like the grapes of wrath.

    Enjoy your reading week,
    kind regards,

  7. Natasha Solomons is also on my list of TBR authors. Don't blame anyone for wanting something light after that one.

  8. I don't blame you for wanting to read something light! I liked Princess Academy and The House at Tyneford. I've always been curious about the Louise Rennison books but I never tried them. I haven't read The Great Gatsby either. I should get around to that especially with the new movie.
