Weekly Update at Introverted Reader

Welcome to my weekly update for January 11, 2026!

My husband finished up his work contract in Georgia just before Christmas so we spent two weeks with our families. He started his next work assignment this week just north of Tampa. We are enjoying these Florida temperatures! North Georgia has fairly mild winters compared to most of the country but it was a bit too cold for our tastes in our RV. We’ve just been settling in so I don’t have any pictures to share yet.

I might finish Bacardi this week! Maybe? It’s good and I’m learning a lot about Cuba but I mostly read it at bedtime so I don’t make much progress before I fall asleep. If I do finish it, I’ll be looking for a nonficton book soon.

I heard Clint Smith speak a few years ago, and he wowed all of us. I read this book of his poetry as my first book of the year in 2024. Here are my little thoughts about it, if you are interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/6046379092
