It’s Monday! What Are You Reading has been taken over by Sheila at One Person’s Journey Through a World of Books. It looks like she’s got some new tricks up her sleeve, so go check her out!

Finished:  Link to my review

Soulless by Gail Carriger–Loved it! 5 stars!

Currently Reading:  Remaining links will go to GoodReads descriptions

World Without End by Ken Follett–I’m enjoying it, but it feels awfully similar to his earlier book, The Pillars of the Earth

Up Next:

World Without End is a monster, so I’m not sure if there will be time for another book this week!  I’m about halfway through the 1014 pages.   If I have time, I might pick up Lirael: Daughter of the Clayr for one of my GoodReads groups. Or I might read Persuasion, which I’ve never read, but it’s waiting patiently for me right here at home.

What are you reading this week?

  1. Hope you are enjoying World Without End! I haven't read it yet, but plan to when I can bring myself to read a huge tome!

  2. Wow, thanks for stopping by everyone!

Mardel, World Without End is historical fiction. It's very good, it's just been slow-going because it's been a very busy week.

I hate to disappoint you Misty, but I think I'm going to have to put in some brain candy after this one. I promise I'll try to read Persuasion after that!

  3. I love your review on Soulless! Hope that your reading week will be as fun as the past. Have a pleasant day =)

  4. Hi, came over from One Person's Journey (via Mr Linky).

I've been reading Three Days to Dead, (Kelly Meding). I usually stick to urban fantasy.

This book you're reading right now, World without End, what genre is it? I've read a few 1000+ page books – usually they're worth the read.

  5. People raved about Pillars and when I read it, I found it okay but maybe my expectations were too high so in that end, I've yet to read World Without End. The size is also daunting. Good luck with Pillars, hope you enjoy!

  6. 1014 pages – wow, impressive! A number of people have recommended Ken Follett to me but I am not sure I can undertake something that long!

  7. I just got Soulless too, I've been on the waiting list for a while now. Then I received a few review books in the mail today so I will have to read it in between those. I'm looking forward to it though.

  8. Read Persuasion!!! Now! I have read P&P more than any other book in my life, but Persuasion is a close second. It's certainly different than P&P, more serious and slow-burning, but so fantatic. And Capt. Wentworth will be your new literary crush. Promise.

  9. Pick Persuasion. You can never go wrong with Jane Austen in my opinion. As for Soulless, I've been watching it through the book blogging world for weeks now and every time someone mentions that they read it I just want to read it more myself. It was just added to my Library list of TBR books.

    Happy reading this week!

  10. I am going to have to look more closely at Soulless. Sounds like it comes recommended! 🙂

    Have a great week!

  11. I have World Without End on my bookshelf and I must admit the size has prevented me from picking it up yet. Hope you have a great week and I look forward to your review.

  12. You're the second person I have seen mention Soulles, I am glad that you enjoyed it!

I nearly bought Pillars of the Earth on SUnday (but I purchased New Moon instead!), can't wait to read your review.

  14. I haven't read Ken Follet yet but everyone seems to love those books. I hope you enjoy your reading week !!

  15. I have Soulless also. I hope to get to it real soon. I might have to sneak it in between review books. Have a great reading weeks.
