Happy Thanksgiving!  Thanksgiving has never been one of my favorite holidays.  I’m a picky eater.  I usually end up with macaroni, a roll, sausage balls and pineapple casserole on my plate–until dessert.  Then I load up!  But it is good to set aside at least one day to really focus on your blessings, and let me tell you–I AM BLESSED.  I have a husband whom I adore and who adores me in return.  I have a family that is willing to support me in all my projects (I’m looking at that follower list that’s only got family listed as I write this on Sunday afternoon).  My family is so great that I would love them and be friends with them even if they weren’t family.  I have friends who put up with the fact that I never call.  (I really need to work on that)  I have a job that might drive me crazy sometimes, but it pays the bills, it’s probably not going anywhere, and I have enough downtime to get in some serious reading.  I have a house that I love with a beautiful view.  I might be a picky eater, but I always have more than enough to eat.  I’ve even found an online community of book lovers that I enjoy interacting with.  Life is good.

  1. It is humbling when you really stop to think about it. Here I am turning up my nose at turkey when so much of the world is hungry for food of any kind. I'm very lucky.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend too!

  2. I'm the same way when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. I'm such a picky eater. xD
Thanksgiving is a good reminder to how well off we are compared to some people. It's very humbling. (Or atleast it is for me) LOL!

Have a good rest of the weekend. Or atleast what's left of it. 😉
