It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? hosted at Book Journey

It’s Monday!  What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and/or happy holiday and/or good week! I know I did.

I posted the sign up pages for the three challenges I host. I try to keep my challenges attainable so you can read only one book and meet the challenge! If you’re a fan, I do have higher levels in my challenges as well. I hope you see something you like and you decide to join me in one, two, or all!

Interworld by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reaves, read by Christopher Evan Welch

Currently Reading:

Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal by Mary Roach–I read Stiff by this author several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m off to a good start with this one too.

Maus I: A Survivor’s Tale: My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman–This is a re-read for me and my choice for my book club’s January read. None of them have ever read a graphic novel so I’m curious to see what they think of it.

Up Next:

I should finish Maus I quickly and move on to Maus II: A Survivor’s Tale: And Here My Troubles Began. What can I say? My book club ladies were good sports when I insisted we had to read the whole story. I also just downloaded Time Stops for No Mouse by Michael Hoeye, read by Campbell Scott. Can you believe that it just dawned on me that I’m on a mousy theme here? It was all done subconsciously! I guess I wanted some (hopefully) happy mice in the mix too.

What are you reading this week?

I have an affiliate relationship with Malaprop’s, my local independent bookstore located in beautiful downtown Asheville, NC; and Better World Books. I will receive a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase books through links on my site. My opinions are completely my own.

  1. I'm going challenge-free in 2015. Keeping up with my review stack is enough of a challenge for me. You can see my week here. Have a great week and happy new year!

  2. I did the Southern Literature Challenge in 2014 and completed it…my goals were small, though. I often read Southern writers anyway, so it was easy. Maybe I should do it again and up the ante.

I am currently reading Everything I Never Told You….

Glad you had a great Christmas…have a good New Year, too. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. I'm glad you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations!

  6. I might do the translation challenge as I have a couple of possible books I am going to read. When I saw it first I thought I wouldn't then I got a book recommendation that happens to be a translation so a little bit of a call to me!

I love to hear from you! Please contact me (menu bar, above) if you're having trouble commenting.
